They monitor performance to identify and resolve system infrastructure problems. The role will take on the responsibility for technical infrastructure projects and completing them on time within a highly available 24x7 environment. Responsibilities: *Coordination of installation and setup of new equipment, and coordination of changes with appropriate support organizations *Submit appropriate tickets for work to be performed and monitor completion *Develop and provide metrics to validate up time SLAs are met *Coordinates the testing of new assets with client Testing resources, including define and develop processes to proactively monitor systems under test, evaluate and document results of tests performed *Provide general user support for the rest of the team *Configure and deploy DASD and network switches and routers *Maintain Inventory *Coordinates the decommissioning and removal of older equipment as necessary *Stay abreast of software releases for all system software, schedule software updates as necessary, coordinate downtime with the appropriate teams and the customer *Submission of hardware and software quote requests *Submission of appropriate business cases for procurement *Implementation and maintenance of environment Security Policy and procedures *Perform user access administration *Maintains subject matter expertise in Acxiom technologies, verticals and lines of business in order to help align client business needs to products, solutions and services offered. *Keeps informed and evaluates the latest industry news, trends, products, services, competitors and relevant existing and emerging technologies. Required Skills: *Experience of working with operating systems, tools, RDBMS, etc. (Examples include SAS, SyncSort, Oracle, XMedic, FTP) *Must possess high-degree of analytical and critical thinking skills *Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills *Self-motivated with an aptitude and desire to learn *Strong written and verbal communication skills *Good attention to detail *Ability to lift up to 35 lbs of equipment in the lab Nice to Have Skills: *Certified RHCE *General understanding of networking and hardware configurations *Experience with NoSQL technologies *Software development skills *Knowledge of networking basics *Experience working with web, application, and networked environments *Basic hardware troubleshooting skills *Knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies *Experience of monitoring tools *Ability to interface with high-level client stakeholders *Experience in design and process improvement Preferred Educational Criteria: *Bachelor or Masters students pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Quality, Information Systems or related areas of study.
