The Solution Architect provides technical leadership and ensures marketing &amp; analytical solutions are architected, sized and configured to meet business needs within Acxiom standards. This includes helping insure that the needed software is included in deals or products and licensed correctly.  This position works within the enterprise architecture organization. 

Duties and Responsibilities:
*Responsible for scoping and estimating future projects with the technical executives and business owners.
*Responsible for solution design and business requirements.
*Anticipates obstacles and recommends solution options. Focuses on corporate objectives, feasibility and scalability of solutions.
*Assists with technical and business requirements and overall project plan. *Assists in the evaluation of cost, scope, portability, compatibility and usability. *Ensures data solution design fulfills functional and technical requirements.
*Monitors progress in order to stay abreast of possible issues and future challenges.
*Maintains subject matter expertise in Acxiom products and industry technologies, verticals and lines of business in order to help align business needs to products, solutions and services offered. (Marketing Data warehousing, Campaign Management, Analytical Modeling, Scoring, and Reporting, data visualization and dashboarding, and Big Data Analytics.)
*Documents and shares best practices and case studies.
*Utilizes standard methodologies to promote consistency and drives adherence to standards within designated teams.
*Familiar with other department’s methodologies including project management and development methodologies.
*Identifies areas of process improvement that drive profit / margin enhancement.
*Consults, advises and educates through communications at the appropriate technical granularity. Shares best practices and incorporates lessons learned into estimates, standards and protocols.
*Provides feedback to the appropriate lines of business or product team to ensure Acxiom produces and/or enhances products that can meet the ever changing business needs of our clients.
*Keeps informed and evaluates the latest industry news, trends, products, services, competitors and relevant existing and emerging technologies

Job Summary:
A critical part of this product investment is the Enterprise Architect role, which is responsible for setting direction of the technical roadmap, and the supporting technical architecture, for the corporation for the marketing services and data products. This corporate view covers multiple products and applications and involves evaluating factors such as market and technology trends, business goals, corporate vision and cost considerations. The Enterprise Architect focuses on identifying solution patterns, as well as evangelizing and enforcing standards, in order to increase reusability across the company. The Enterprise Architect may also be called upon to provide domain expertise, performance analysis and remediation recommendations, in order to ensure clients/projects are properly serviced.

This role is about designing or diagnosing n-tier secure real-time &amp; analytical applications that range from 2 nines to 5 nines of availability and recognized as an expert using SOA methodologies or light-weight programming stack where appropriate.  Application range from commercial / open source to internally developed applications.

Responsibilities:
*Responsible for creating technical reference architectures, standards, and providing input on the technical/reference architecture.
*Audit the standards created by the Architecture Review Board / Delivery Review Board, Solutions Review Board.
*Reviews infrastructure and software architectures and designs and makes recommendations on viability, improvements, and adjudication input when conflicts or disagreements arise.
*Assist with enterprise architectures that are added to the corporate standards for future design/client implementations.
*Responsible for creating and providing input on the marketing services enterprise technical roadmaps, including: identifying the capability that is the focus of the roadmap, identifying critical system requirements and their targets; assessing major technology areas; assessing multi-national impact (if applicable); performing prototyping / POC of the new technologies, identifying technology drivers, targets, and helping with technology direction; providing technical alternatives; providing time &amp; cost implications.
*Accountable for providing input on large scope solutions or internal project architecture that are outside the corporate standards. 
*Responsible for owning enterprise architecture deliverables, including: review of the requirements and assumptions; systems infrastructure diagrams; enterprise Software component architecture (3rd party and Acxiom developed); high-level dataflow, process, and interaction diagrams; initial financial analysis (if GPE Architecture-driven process); reviewing and providing feedback on development artifacts.
*Responsible for developing enterprise architecture standards and providing facilitation, communication, and education around those standards.
*Accounts for multi-national deployment requirements when and where applicable.
*Collaborates on Enterprise Continuous Improvement.
*Responsible for lab &amp; technology pioneering, including POC, database, technology evaluation and certification.
*Responsible for staying up-to-date with emerging industry/technology trends.
*Responsible for covering several EA architecture domains (Security, Infrastructure, Accountable for understanding Acxiom development methodologies as well as other processes across the company (i.e. procurement, data center, etc.) in order to accomplish tasks.

Strategic Marketing
