Title: STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP MANAGER
Location: California-Foster City
OPEN TO REMOTE/HOME BASED CANDIDATES THAT ARE NOT IN OR NEAR FOSTER CITY, CA OR NEW YORK.
Actively manage a process for governing and coordinating partnering activity across Acxiom with a focus on contracting and managing revenue producing strategic partnerships.
Responsibilities Include:
* Create and maintain a system for governing partnerships.
* Help develop a strategy for increasing the value Acxiom realizes from partnerships, including goals for increasing revenue and contribution to profits through improving existing and adding new partnerships.
* Help run a process for responding to incoming partnership opportunities, vetting requests against established priorities, evaluating candidates or routing candidates to appropriate Acxiom teams, and registering outcomes so as to maintain a partnering pipeline.
* Operate and execute; translate partner initiatives and opportunities into internal activities, drive internal process to prioritize initiatives, and lead cross-functional teams to execute against them.
* Manage a subset of partnerships that will be managed directly by the Global Product Solutions (GPS) Strategic Partnerships team.
* For those partnerships managed directly, set a governance structure for the partnerships, discover needs and set goals, ensure the needs of Acxiom and of the partner are addressed, and set and reach financial and non-financial goals based on the objectives of the partnership.
* Design and implement programs to assist Acxiom associates responsible for creating and managing partnerships to increase their effectiveness and drive more value.
* Identify service providers who can supply needed expertise to partnering teams, and promote their appropriate use.
* Organize and maintain a process for aggregating recommendations for potential acquisition or investment from among current or potential partners.
Required Skills:
* 5-10 years of experience in alliances/partnership management.
* Proven record of success structuring and closing direct and partnership deals with large and complex clients and partners. Must demonstrate hunter mentality.
* Strong grasp of the advertising ecosystem (ie advertisers/agencies, publishers, first and third party ad networks, ad targeting data providers).
* A deep understanding of the marketing and related technology needs of Acxioms customers.
* A track record of effectively discovering and mapping the needs of complex organizations, including ones organization, and finding ways to leverage strengths of different organizations to create value.
* Demonstrated ability to build relationships cross-functionally and cross-organizations at all levels and to bring alignment among disparate stakeholder.
* Strong grasp of core business disciplines, including communication skills, analytical orientation, ability to influence, process design and management.
* Prior success in designing, deploying, and managing enterprise wide processes.
* Experience developing and negotiating long term contracts to govern business relationships.
* Experience with several of the following is a plus: Apple, Google, Facebook, eBay/PayPal, Cable TV networks, Microsoft, Amazon, mobile ad networks, major mobile carriers (AT&T, Verizon).
* Experience with major advertisers and/or their agencies is a plus.
