BUSINESS ANALYST in Conway Arkansas United States

Title: BUSINESS ANALYST
Location: Arkansas-Conway
* Works with HR functional teams to gather and document business and functional requirements.
* Serves as the champion for the PeopleSoft HR application design, functionality and ongoing enhancements.
* Quickly understands the business issues and data challenges that are being addressed with PeopleSoft functionality.
* Identifies organizational strengths and weaknesses and suggests process improvements.
* Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solutions.
* Develops functional specifications and communicates requirements to the development team for technical solutions.
* Understands, creates and maintains documentation on system set-up and configuration.
* Provides user training and creates supporting training materials as needed.
* Serves as liaison between IS and the functional areas of human resources and provides direction in the design and development of HR applications.
* Develops use cases and manages functional testing and UAT activities.
* Assists in development and enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.
* Facilitates team meetings and effective communication with stakeholders.
* Possesses understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design.
* Posses creative thinking and problem solving abilities and techniques.
* Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
* Effectively manages client expectations.
* Suggests areas for improvement in internal business processes to support quality data capture and governance.
* Defines reporting requirements and processes to address them.
* Communicates requirements to the development team and facilitates change requests.
* Ability to learn new applications and technologies.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience implementing applications andor new technologies to meet business needs.
Required Skills

* BA degree in Human Resources, Information Technology or related field preferred.
* Equivalent work experience will be considered.
* Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook; Microsoft Project a plus.
* Must have experience facilitating meetings, gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
* Must have excellent written and inter-personal communication skills.
* Proven ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
* Ability to manage time while working on a variety of tasks.
* Possess an interest in learning new technologies and business applications.
Desired skills

* Experience with PeopleSoft Human Resource Management System (HRMS).
* Experience with Payroll and Benefits processes provided by HR organizations.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Visio and Sharepoint.
