Account Manager (Agency)

JOB SUMMARY
Accountable for the management of agency client campaigns under direction of a Sr. Account Manager or Account Director. Oversees projects and campaign work performed by Associate Account Managers. Provides best practices to clients as related to email creative and ad campaigns. Helps clients interpret the end results of digital marketing campaigns.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for the management of agency client campaigns. Acts as spokesperson for client within company setting, representing client's point of view and concerns.
• Works under the direction of a Sr. Account Manager. Oversees projects and campaign work performed by associate account managers. Assures client projects and requests are handled through the appropriate production channels.
• Provides best practices to clients as related to email creative and ad campaigns. Helps clients interpret the end results of digital marketing campaigns. Assists in differentiating our digital services and products from competitor campaigns.
• Engages in extensive client communication. Works directly with client on tactical campaign tasks. Responds to client questions and service requests by phone and through email following requested protocols.
• Maintains up to date information and expertise in account needs and digital space in order to facilitate campaign solutions.
• Accountable for resolving client issues to the point of resolution by proposing solutions and escalating issues to the appropriate level. Assists in managing client expectations. Professionally "pushes back" when client demands do not coincide with realistic expectations.
• Collaborates with production, technical and analytical groups to ensure client campaigns are executed according to program goals (accuracy, quality, scope, time and budget). Utilizes checklists and peer reviews.
• Maintains up to date information and expertise in account needs and agency space in order to facilitate campaign solutions.
• Assists in the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, yearly and ad-hoc client reporting. Looks beyond individual campaign data to analyze overall trends.
• Facilitates billing inputs and quality of time tracking.
• Facilitates account performance optimization. Looks for ways to increase campaign process efficiency internally and externally within client programs.

Basic Requirements:
*Bachelors Degree.
*Minimum 2 years of applicable work experience (direct marketing, database marketing, interactive marketing, marketing consulting, or advertising) in an agency or client facing environment.
*Polished verbal, written communication and presentation skills, with both internal colleagues and external clients.
*Extremely proactive, highly organized, with proven ability to manage multiple tasks.
*Ability to prioritize and focus, with strict attention to detail.
*Thorough understanding of and/or interest in digital marketing.
*Sound knowledge of MS Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
*Technically literate and comfortable working with Internet technologies, and desire to build technical knowledge.
*Maturity and professionalism, combined with a passion for creativity.
*Great team player, know when to lead and when to follow.
